TORONTO, ON - Today, Nina Tangri, Member of Provincial Parliament for Mississauga-Streetsville, was appointed Parliamentary Assistant to the Hon. Victor Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade (Economic Development).
"I am honoured and thrilled to be appointed as PA to Minister Fedeli," Tangri said. "I look forward to working with the Premier, the Minister, staff, and our all-star caucus to bring jobs and investment to Mississauga-Streetsville and across Ontario."
Tangri has experience in economic development and has already worked with industry to create jobs and bring investment into the community, particularly with the riding's extensive pharmaceutical industry.
The Parliamentary Assistant appointment comes after last week's cabinet shuffle marking a fast-paced first year in government that saw 20 pieces of legislation passed in 117 days, through four sittings of the Legislature. 85 per cent of the total commitments the government made to the people of Ontario have been completed or put into action.
